Apartment is excellent. Very well and thoughtfully equipped. Very relaxing aspect. Could watch the river for ages. Pity about weather… balcony would have been great!

We’re getting more and more enquiries for out of season now. From November 2010 until March 2011, short breaks are available from Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday. These are starting to book up, though, so if you have any dates in mind, please get in touch.
The weekend of 5th-8th November is already taken and, weather permitting, our guests will get to enjoy the fantastic firework display that takes place over Kendal Castle each year… all without having to leave the apartment! Our balcony offers a great view down the river toward the castle so that should be a great place to enjoy it all from.
There are some key dates where we do still have availability. Mid/late-November has had quite a bit of interest as it co-incides with the Kendal Mountain Film Festival but as yet it’s still available. Valentines in 2011 falls on a Monday, and we currently still have availability for Monday 14th to Friday 18th February 2011.
If you’d like a short break and would like us to look up your chosen dates, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kendal’s K Village re-opened its doors yesterday after a £100m facelift. The riverside complex includes a mixture of shops, restaurants, cafés, housing and a Heritage Centre that tells the history of shoe-making in the town. A good portion of the retail space is taken by the Clark’s Factory Outlet but there’s already some 20 retailers in place, including the likes of the premium women’s brand, Alexon; the leading tea, coffee and ceramics brand, Whittards; and the UK tableware company Denby. Even Cadbury’s have a place there. K Village is just a pleasant walk along the River Kent from the Kendal Cottages apartment.
The latest entry in our guestbook – from some Moroccan guests - reads:
A lovely region with a lot of walks to do and a tasteful apartment with a magnificent view. Merci pour le qualité de l’accueil.
(That last bit is ‘Thank you for the quality of the hospitality’ for those of you not too ‘au fait’ with French!)
