South Lakes Wild Animal Park has decided to throw open the doors free of charge to everyone from 1st November 2010 through until 13th February 2011. And children are all free right the way through until Good Friday 2011!

With lots going on everyday including hand-feeding giraffes, penguins, kangaroos and emus; new summer arrivals – jaguars, giant otters, pacas, and of course the latest very special arrival – Kadi the Sumatran Tiger cub, the park is always a great day out.

To help you plan your visit, here are the park’s feeding times:
11.30am & 3.45pm – Hand feed giraffes & conservation talk
2.30pm РWatch tigers and jaguars hunt for their dinner & conservation talk, followed by hand feeding of penguins & conservation talk
3.20pm – Lions hunt for their dinner & conservation talk
Every Day – Hand feed kangaroos & emus
Seasonal – Hand feed Santa’s reindeer

The Maki restaurant and Wild Things gift shop will be open every day. ¬†During the popular Magic of Christmas which begins on Saturday 27th November 2010, the park is open until 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; visits to the nativity & Santa’s grotto and the skating rink will incur additional costs.
