The Sir Hickman Bacon (1855-1945) collection of watercolours is one of the finest private collections in the UK, featuring some of the greatest watercolourists of the mid-eighteenth to mid-nineteenth century. Over 40 works from this impressive collection are presented alongside some of Abbot Hall‘s own collection of watercolours by artists who represent the Golden Age of Watercolours in the UK – artists such as Turner, Cozens, Ruskin, Cotman, Girtin and Cox.
The exhibition continues until 14th April 2012. If you’d like to catch it, we have just two remaining vacancies at our beautiful riverside apartment that co-incide: 6th-13th and 13th-20th April 2012. Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to book.
