There's a full programme of events taking place - from 5Ks to full
marathons - and two friendly running clubs in Kendal that are always
happy to welcome visitors.

Brathay Windermere Marathon
The Brathay Windermere Marathon is a fundraising event that supports the Brathay Hall Trust which supports disadvantaged young people. It takes place in May each year and follows a route around Lake Windermere in an anti-clockwise direction. It is also the finale for the ten-in-tenners who take on the 26.2-mile course a gruelling 10 times in 10 days!

Dentdale Run
Held in March each year and supported by the Dent Brewery, the Dentdale Run is a figure of eight course that covers a distance of almost 15 miles. The course is an enjoyable one - scenic and undulating - with typically around 500 runners taking part.

Kendal Winter League
Kendal Winter League is a series of short fell races which take place from January to April each year and are organised by the Kendal-based running club, Helm Hill Runners.
